Courtney C. Joyner teaches preaching, worship, and spiritual formation courses at Eastern Mennonite University. She studied under the same homiletics professor at Emory University as did the author of this book. She is currently completing her doctoral work at Wesley Theological Seminary. She holds ordination through the United Methodist Church.
