David M. Brubaker and his wife Laona served with Brethren in Christ Missions in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and Zambia. They were assigned to Phumula Mission twice, from 1959-1960 and again from 1964-1965. From 1965-1975, they served at Nahumba Mission in Zambia. In 2003 and 2010, they returned to Africa for short-term volunteer assignments. They are both now retired from working at Messiah College for many years, and are members of the Grantham (PA) Church.
