Kerry Hasler-Brooks is associate professor of English and chair of the Department of Language, Literature, and Writing at Messiah University. Her teaching and scholarship focus on twentieth and twenty-first century women writers, feminist pedagogies, vocation studies, and first-year composition. Her most recent essay, “Antiracism as Vocational Practice: Reading with Alice Walker, Chimamanda Ngoni Adichi and Edwidge Danticat” appeared in CULTIVATING VOCATION IN LITERARY STUDIES (Edinburgh University Press, 2022).
